Approach: A Web application was created to manage authentication and user profile information stored in a single location. Common storage and management of user information enabled users to maintain one information set. Users could now make changes to profile attributes such as passwords in one application. User changes were replicated to all other applications using this information.
The noted solution was designed to address the business needs of the entire company. Therefore, there were many options for implementation including self-registration, approval before access is granted, and automatic approval upon registration. These implementation options were considered "Application Specific" and could be coded into an individual application without a code change to AWARE.
Responsibilities: Accepted project management responsibilities for the duration of the project. Wrote preliminary project documentation, project status documentation, and project wrap-up documentation. Delegated and oversaw the interface design, code design, and code development. Maintained all project timelines. Coordinated and participated in all stakeholder meetings. Wrote all user implementation documentation and oversaw the completion of all developer documentation. Trained other project managers and IT professionals in the organization and use of application standards.
Work completed June 2004.
